Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Michael Steven is the Founder and CEO of PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (KREN), a leading digital and technology business integrator. He founded KREN in 1999 as a traditional investment bank engaged in investment management, securities brokerage, and underwriting. In 2015, he led an initiative to diversify KREN with the establishment of a venture-technology incubator division. This division, Kresna Creativentures, has become the growth engine for KREN with many successful investments in the digital and financial technology space.
Michael is recognized as a leader of Indonesia’s digital revolution. Under his leadership, KREN was awarded the Forbes Asia’s “Best Under A Billion” list in July/August 2019 issue and awarded the “50 Best of the Best Companies” by Forbes Indonesia two years in a row, in 2018 and 2019. He’s also been named “The Best CEO of Innovation” for three consecutive years and one of “Indonesian Top Financial Figures” for two consecutive years. In addition to his role at KREN, he serves as the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce’s Marine & Fisheries Financing Policy Committee.
